Project Description

ICA Miami

Custom Aluminum Facade, Stairway, and Security Fence

ICA Miami is a project designed by Aranguren & Gallegos Arquitectos with Wolfberg Alvarez. The 5-story custom exterior envelope facade was supplied by Poma and features serrakit panel and custom ribbed or corrugated aluminum which encloses the museum’s box form.

Completed in 2017, the museum is located in the Miami Design District as part of the Dacra masterplan for a artistically-oriented shopping and cultural experience. Poma provided design, fabrication, and installation for not only the facade, but also fabricated the custom staircase and exterior security fence which runs the perimeter.

…The attachment of the large trapezoidal aluminum panels without visible exposed fasteners was an incredible feat…
