Hyde Park House
Railings, Pergolas & Decorative Grilles
Hyde Park House is a 21-story, 70-residence condominium on Bayshore Boulevard in the heart of South Tampa’s historic Hyde Park district. Developed by Kolter Urban and designed by SB Architects, the tower draws on classic Mediterranean architecture, and its metalwork needed to carry that same traditional character.
Poma Architectural Metals fabricated and installed architectural metalwork throughout the building, from the balcony and rooftop railings to the amenity-deck pergolas and the decorative lattice grilles that dress the building’s base.
The bronze-finish balcony railings pair glass infill with slim aluminum posts, keeping the views across Hillsborough Bay open from every residence. Along the roof edges, picket guardrails on custom brackets follow the building’s stepped profile.
On the amenity terraces, Poma built pergolas with shaped rafter tails that shade the outdoor lounges. At street level, diamond-lattice grilles and a quatrefoil oculus add traditional detail to the window and garage openings, matched in finish to the rest of the metalwork.
Hyde Park House is one of several Kolter Urban projects featuring Poma metalwork, alongside the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota and Art House in St. Petersburg.
